I was always one of those who thought that green smoothies looked disgusting and the thought of drinking my greens did not sit well in my stomach. Then I tried one And, since the end of December I have pretty much had 2 green smoothies a day. Normally one for breakfast and one for lunch.

I started drinking them as a way to get more greens and fruit in my diet, without having to eat salads all day. And I will say I HAVE SEEN SO MANY POSITIVE CHANGES.
- My skin is better (less dry)
- My hair is healthier and grows super fast
- Less bloat
- Higher energy

Being a mom of a baby, their are MANY nights where I am up in the middle of the night and not getting anywhere near the amount of sleep I should be. I still definitely drink coffee in the mornings (I Love coffee), I really credit the smoothies for keeping my energy levels up throughout the day. In fact, the few days that I did not have 2 a day (some weekends) I noticed a major lack in energy and felt tired all day.

So in honor of the upcoming St. Patty’s Day I am encouraging you to give the green smoothie a try! If you already have tried them, then I encourage you to make at least one this week (Hopefully more than 1!) For those who are skeptical, I promise they really do taste good and you won’t even taste the greens!

Personally, the last couple of weeks I have been slacking and their has been multiple days a week that I have either skipped my morning or afternoon smoothie due to being lazy and eating a banana w/peanut butter instead or being not very healthy and eating a couple of brownies instead for lunch. So this week I AM going to have my 2 green smoothies a day NO MATTER WHAT!
